Condition

The canvas has not been lined and is somewhat loose on its wooden stretcher. It might benefit from some light re-tensioning. With the exception of one very small spot of strengthening in the woman's nose, as visible under ultra-violet light, there is no other visible sign of restoration. This work is in very good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a simple gilt frame. Colours are deeper and brighter in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
