The canvas has been lined and is securely attached to keyed wooden stretcher. There is a minor, superficial scuff in the boat in the lower left quadrant. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals an even layer of residual varnish and no visible sign of restoration. This work appears to be in good condition and is ready to hang. The appearance of the work could perhaps be enhanced by a surface cleaning.
Presented in a simple gilt frame.
Overall, yellows are stronger in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
