Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There is a fine pattern of hairline craquelure in the sky, however not too distracting. There is one small spot of paint lifting in the far upper left corner and two pin-head sized spots of paint loss in the centre of the left framing edge, as visible in the catalogue illustration. With the exception of some areas of retouching in the sky, visible under ultra-violet light, the main composition appears to be untouched. This work is in overall good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a white inner slip.
