Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some minor dark specks to the surface, including to the hands. There is very minor shallow pitting to the surface in areas, consistent with the bronze casting process. There is some white cleaning residue to the legs. The painted details of the belt have rubbed in areas. The condition of the marble base is good, with some minor chips and abrasions to the edges and corners. The detail on the base is also signed: D.H. Chiparus.
