Condition

Overall, the condition of the bronze is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The strings of the violin have warped and one is slightly loose. The bow is also slightly loose but stable. There are a few dirt marks and flecks of blackish residue to the surface in areas, including to the proper right side of the face, to below the proper left breast, to the back and to the back of the proper left arm. The bronze is cast in sections and a joint and a plug are visible to the proper left upper arm. There is a minor loss to the tip of one of the laurel leaves at the front. There are some minor scratches to the surface in areas.
