Condition

Overall, the condition of the bronze is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is particular dirt in the crevices. There is minor pitting to the bronze, in particular to the gilt pool. There is a small casting fissure to the pool and there is minor wear to the gilt patina and some staining. There are minor scratches to the ape's face.
