Overall the monkey presents well, with the exception of a professionally repaired split through the grain of one foot. The feet and hands are relatively loose and turn very easily. There are the usual various minor indents and abrasions to the surfaces and extremities of the teak as a result of age and handling – including an indent to the monkeys left ear. The head is relatively loose in its fit to the neck and can be removed with a slight amount of pressure. The arms and legs are all secure, however the bolts would benefit from being tightened. There is a good clear branded makers' mark to one foot.
