• cal. 10-200, manual winding jewelled lever movement, swan neck precision regulator • silvered dial, applied Arabic and triangular indexes in guilloché chapter ring, inner pearled minute track, subsidiary seconds • 18k yellow gold case, multi-stepped bezel, large curled lugs, snap-on back • case, dial and movement signed

Condition

The movement running at the time of cataloguing. Case in good condtion with the usual scuffs and scratches due to age, a scratch to the top right lug. The end of the lugs slightly reshaped in the past but barely noticeable. The dial in well preserved condition with few marks close the subsidiary seconds. Hands and indexes with few light scuffs. Conservative estimate. Hallmarks on the outside of the case back, probably Dublin import mark for 1954. The watch has not been tested to determine the accuracy of its timekeeping. Catalogue Note

Introduced in 1954, reference 2549 was produced in small quantities in different case variations. They are distinguished by a multi-stepped bezel and curled or horn-shaped lugs. The present lot is possibly only the fifth example in yellow gold in this configuration known by experts.
