Catalogue Note

This unusual timepiece is decorated to its centre with a finely carved ivory plaque of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travellers. Hence one could easily deduct that it was originally intended to be hung at the back of a luxury car or a yacht for example. The ingenious mount system allows one to easily move the timepiece to a new location or to put it away in its presentation case.
