  • makers' marks, London and Birmingham standard marks and date letters

the first, a matching pair of George III pepperettes, one Henry Dutton, London, 1753, the other maker's mark I.D., London, 1765 ; the second, a pair of Victorian pepperettes, John Millward Banks, Birmingham, 1888, in leather case

Condition

18th century set: overall good condition apart from a phew minute dents to pierced upper section. Victorian: they are die-stamped so naturally light and prone to wear. Marks are partly legible. One hinge of case broken.
