Condition

This picture is unlined. There are a few hairline cracks near the centre of the cobbled foreground, but otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. UNDER ULTARVIOLET LIGHT Ultraviolet light reveals a small spot of retouching near centre of the upper edge; some small flecks in and around the left hand tree trunk in the background; some flecks among the figure in the centre-background; some flecks to the main figure standing and a few further minor flecks through the foreground. FRAME Held in a gilt wood frame.
