Condition
Original canvas. Some areas of craquelure pattern most notably in the sky in the upper centre of the composition. Some specks of surface dirt. There is an old patch on the reverse of the canvas lower centre, and another smaller one near the lower left edge.
UV light inspection reveals an area of restoration to an old 'L' shaped tear to the canvas, this corresponds to the aforementioned patch. A few very minor touches of infilling in the sky.
Held in a decorative gilt frame and slip.
