Condition

The canvas is lined. Some faint signs of horizontal craquelure only visible upon close inspection. One small spot of paint loss above the lamp of Artemis and two very small spots of paint loss in her tunic below her waist. Ultraviolet light reveals an opaque varnish. Some spots of retouching along the left edge and further occasional cosmetic retouchings across the surface, not excessive. Held in a gilt plaster frame with a bronze card mount.
