Condition

The paint surface of both pictures is in excellent condition, and they are ready to hang. Inspection under ultraviolet light shows in the former: tiny retouchings along upper margin, to the left of the lower margin, and a tiny scratch (not visible in the catalogue illustration) in the paint at the corner of the building centre right. In the latter, ultraviolet light shows scattered small retouchings in the sky upper right corner, and in the lower left corner on the pavestones, and upper centre in the sky. The pair are offered in matching giltwood frames, in good condition.
