Condition

Overall, the condition of the bronzes is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor nicks and scratches, in particular to Omphale's arms and the edges of the terrasse of the same figure. There is a minor original casting fissure to Hercules' proper left leg, and to the back of his head, where there are two small holes. There is rubbing to the bronzes, in particular at the high points. The marble and gilt bronze bases are in good condition. There are minor chips and abrasions to the edges of the marble columns and bases.
