Description

  • Porcelain, pottery - earthenware
  • 18cm., 7 1/8 in. and 19cm., 7 1/2 in. high
the earthenware group modelled as two bare chested figures seated on tree stumps before a tree, a naked woman lies on the ground below with a stab wound to her chest; the porcelain group as a naked woman standing against a tree with her right arm raised, a lion standing at her side and and a seated child looking up from below, the circular mound base applied with fruit and leaves, 

Condition

The earthenware group with some losses to branches and leaves of tree. Figure wearing hat - small chip to forefinger of left hand. Middle figure - thumb of left hand lacking. Woman on ground - lacking both feet, chip to thumb of left hand. Some losses to applied leaves on tree stump and base. The porcelain group, standing figure - right handle replaced and re-stuck at wrist, the seated figure with right foot replaced, part of branch missing, chips to extremities.
