Condition

This finely carved and impressive set is in overall good conserved condition, and would benefit from light cleaning according to taste and some general professional attention to the surface. There are marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and traces of old woodworm, which appears to be no longer active. The gilt (a mecca) and faux-marble painted surface, partly refreshed, presents overall losses, which do not however detract from the overall decorative effect of the set, and some secure construction hairline cracks. Some losses and scuffing on the edge of the candelabra's plinths. Please note that this set has not been drilled for electricity. Measurements: 185cm. high overall; the candelabra:110cm. high, 55cm. wide, 53cm. deep; the bases: 75cm. high, 37cm. wide, 37cm. deep.
