Condition

The canvas is lined, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals small retouchings in the background upper right, and along the lower margin lower right, as well as spot retouchings in the boy's cheeks, around his mouth and proper left eye. In overall very good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
