  • Italian, probably 17th Century

Condition

The bronze is a fragment; the tail and the legs are lost. Otherwise the condition is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age ,with particular dust in the crevices. There is some rubbing to the lacquer patina at the high points, as well as some minor greening in areas. There are a few small lacunae, consistent with casting.
