Condition
Overall, the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some nicks and scratches, in particular to the top. There is also some minor pitting to the top. There are further areas of scratches to the inside of the well head, in particular around the top at the inscription and around the bottom where it meets the base. There is some dark spotting to the inside, and an area of reddish dirt. There are remnants of a paper label to the inside.
