Literature
Possibly that described by Lachlan Kennedy, Inventory and Appraisement of the Household Furniture stock and other effects at Fettercairn which pertained to the deceased Sir William Forbes, Arbroath, 27 August 1829; 'West Bedroom / Small laburnum table £0-1-6', NLS (Acc.4796/156)
Condition
An attractive well carved piece of pleasing proportions. The finely figured top would benefit from a clean as there are old ring marks, scratches and ink spots and the top has a minor separation from age. The carved detail is generally good.
