Condition

The panel appears to be in good stable order. There is paint/bitumen separation in the dark pigments in the sky and in the figure's black skirts. There are some minor surface scratches and abrasions. There is a discoloured layer of surface varnish and surface dirt. UV light inspection reveals a heavy and uneven layer of surface varnish which obscures further reading. Held in a gilt decorative frame.
