Description
- Porcelain, pottery
comprising a pair of Japanese Imari jardinières, Meiji period, 21cm., 8 1/4 in. high; a pair of Imari bowls, 18.5cm., 7 1/4 in. diam.; an Imari bowl, Edo period, early 18th century, 16cm., 6 1/4 in. diam.; and three small blue and white bowls, 12cm., 4 3/4 in. diam.; together with a pair of English green glazed earthenware vases and a similar dish, early 20th century, the vases 21cm., 8 1/4 in. high, the dish 42.8cm., 16 7/8 in. diam. Condition
jardinières, one with fine hairline crack across base, otherwise in good condition with minor typical wear to gilding;
the pair of bowls, one with extensive glued repairs, the other wit rim chip and crack;
The Edo period bowl, minor wear;
The three dragon pattern bowls, minor nibbles to rims.
One green-glazed vase with a crack at rim, the other with three cracks at rim, the dish with a hairline crack at rim and hairline crack to body, some losses to footrim, and over-painted around whole of footrim.
