Description

  • Silver, Glass
  • the first 8cm, 3 ΒΌ in high
the first plain oval, reeded borders, domed hinged lid, angular handle, John Emes, 1801; the second, lobed oblong, hinged lid, angular handle, gilt interior, the same, 1807; the remainder plain drum-shaped, flat hinged lids, maker's mark CE, 1927, all with glass liners, the first clear, the remainder blue

Condition

The two modern examples good. The Georgian examples both rubbed and a little thin. The gadrooned example with slightly thin and uneven cover which does not closes flush.
