Condition

The canvas is lined and the paint surface is dirty and the varnish is discoloured and darkened. In good overall condition, with no major damages. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals very little intervention save for some small scattered retouchings in Saint John's hair and around the outstretched hand of the Christ child. Offered in a painted carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
