Acquired from the above by James Irvine on behalf of Sir William Forbes, 7th Bt. of Pitsligo (17731828), 5 September 1827, in Bologna, for 65 Louis ('The two small Linglebak's').

Condition

The panels are uncradled and stable, the paint surfaces are dirty with discoloured varnish. No major damages visible. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals very little invervention. In overall excellent condition. Offered in matching carved wood and gesso gilt frames in good condition.
