  • Silver
a pair of egg-shaped pepperettes, gilt interiors, John Emes, 1804, 7.7cm., 3in. high; a pair of vase-shaped pepperettes, square pedestal bases, maker’s mark double struck, 1800, 15cm., 6in. high; two small casters or pepperettes, vase-shaped, one Thomas Daniell, 1786, the other maker’s mark rubbed, 1796; a pair of Britannia standard octagonal sugar casters in early 18th century style, Carrington & Co. Ltd., 1913/14, 19.5cm., 7 3/4in. high; a baluster sugar caster, William Comyns & Sons Ltd., 1936, 20.4cm., 8 1/4in. high; a vase-shaped wirework caster, applied ribbon-tied drapery, blue glass liner, The Goldsmiths’ & Silversmiths’ Co. Ltd., 1909, 17.5cm., 6 7/8in. high, all London; and a Scottish caster, the baluster body engraved with a crest and motto, Assay Master Hugh Gordon, Edinburgh, 1751, 15.7cm., 6 1/4in. high

Condition

Generally good condition with clear marks and no obvious repairs. One with a couple of bruises to the body and another with a split. Some with wear to crests.
