  • Each watercolour over pencil, heightened with stopping out and scratching out, housed in fine Regency frames;
    the first signed lower centre: W Havell 1808
  • The first 584 by 764 mm; the second 615 by 767 mm
together with A River Landscape with an Italianate Town Beyond, attributed to William Frederick Wells (1762-1836)

Condition

In both works there has been tonal drop back to many of the pigments. There is general surface dirt. At the edges of the sheet, there are small scratched areas and areas of pigment loss (this is hidden by the framing). The work is not laid down.
