Condition

Hunting Tower Castle Partly Ruined: There is discolouration and water damage to this sheet. This is particularly noticeable in the sky. some of the pigment is worn at the extreme edges of the sheet. The sheet has been laid down to the original wooden backboard. Edinburgh Castle from the Grass Market: The bodycolour has survived in much better condition in this work. There is some minor surface dirt to the sheet and the original backboard has spilt. As a result there is a soft crease running horizontally across the sheet. The paper has not however torn. The work is laid onto to its original backboard. T
