  • Decorative frieze
  • Watercolour and gouache over black chalk;
    bears inscription in black chalk on the mount:  Julio Clovio and bears numbering in pen and brown ink:  F.11, also bears inscription in pen and brown ink on the back of the mount: bought at Rome of Gavin Hamilton

Condition

Laid down. The sheet has suffered somewhat. There are a number of tears and cracks throughout the sheet. There are areas of rubbing and abrasion where there are losses to the medium. Scattered foxing around the mount. However colours remain strong and image still powerful.
