- An oval gilt-metal locket
- The miniatures: each watercolour on ivory.
- The locket: 50 by 44 mm
Fausse montre, the reverse in green enamel over a foil pattern, containing a mirrored interior and a portrait of a gentleman, possibly Sir John Belsches Wishart, later Stuart, 3rd Bt. (1752-1821) (after George Engleheart); together with a second portrait of a gentleman (English School, 18th century)
Condition
Both miniatures are in good condition. The locket is a little worn in places, The miniature is unglazed and the mirror is discoloured.
