Description

  • A steel-backed gold belt clasp with fobs, circa 1735 and later
  • gold, steel, gilt metal,
  • 10.5cm., 4 1/8 in. to 24cm., 9 1/2 in. long
cast and chased with a basket of flowers, the fobs including a later swivel seal with agate matrix engraved 'amour', a later miniature pen knife and two pear-shaped pomanders; a gilt-metal belt clasp, circa 1730; and a gold chatelaine, one panel engraved with the Forbes crest and motto, circa 1800 (a quantity)

Condition

First: One pomander lacking its base, rusting to steel and denting to penknife case; Second : damaged and with some verde gris and wear to gilding; third: one chain broken off but there Sold as seen. would recommend viewing.
