Description

  • 18.4cm., 7 1/4 in. diameter
elongated octagonal with reeded rims, engraved with a crest, 23.5cm., 9 1/4 in. long; together with a George III silver waiter, Hannam & Crouch, London, 1766, shaped circular with shell-embellished rim, the centre later chased with foliate scrolls around a central crest (3)

Provenance

Probably Sir William Forbes, 6th Baronet (1739-1806)

Condition

The pen trays with various solder repairs at the points of the rim. Clear hallmarks. The waiter is later chased, otherwise good condition with wear commensurate with age.
