Condition

This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals some minor surface dirt, light wear and associated minor losses to the silver paint, notably to the back right chair leg. The broken bar on the lower left side of the chair is original to the date of the work's execution (as shown in an image of the artist with the work taken during Kusama's 'Sex Orgy/Political Protest/Fashion Show' in 1968). There are some minor and stable cracks in places to the tips and bases of some of the protruding elements some of which have been consolidated. Although the work fluoresces unevenly under ultraviolet light no further restoration is apparent.
