Anstey Guthrie") to James Payn tipped-in discussing the proofs of the novel, 2 pages, 28 April 1882, newspaper cuttings laid-down to rear fixed endpaper; both 8vo (188 x 122mm.), original tan cloth lettered in gilt with design in black, pale yellow endpapers, bookplates, slight browning and spotting (2)
