Condition

The board is sound and very slightly bowed. There is a network of shrinkage throughout the thickest areas of brown and orange pigment. There are a few fine lines of craquelure just above centre and in the lower right corner. There is some old frame abrasion to the extreme edges which is not visible when framed. There is a small nick to the paint surface at the centre of the left edge and a small dent visible towards the upper right corner. Under UV light, there is some faint fluorescence in the grey pigment in the upper left and lower right quadrants that is possibly related to an uneven varnish. This work is in overall good condition and may benefit from a clean.
