Condition

Each charger in very good condition with little surface wear throughout. The frames in sturdy condition with wear to the surface consistent with use. One frame with a couple of splits to the wood, consistent with age and atmospheric changes.

Specializing in art enamels, the firm of Charlot Frères Émailleurs were located at 5-7 rue de Montmorency from 1885. They exhibited at several international exhibitions, and were afforded a special mention in the 1901 Art Journal for their display at the 1901 Glasgow exhibition.
