  • height 10 1/2 in.

of goblet form, finely decorated in white slip with a centauride holding a cornucopia on her right hand tackled by a satyr within a gilt-edged oval panel on a deep cobalt blue-ground further embellished with an elaborate pattern of scrollwork, diaperwork and floral meanders, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised F 158

Condition

The vase has restoration to one handle and stem; the restoration is superbly done and is not discernible to the naked eye; the damage also doesn't show under the black light. The body is soft to the touch of the pin and appears to be oversprayed overall. There is a very fine and short scratch to the dark blue ground on the front of the vase.
