Description

representing Earth and Water and the Four Seasons, on four bold female caryatid supports spaced by lapis panels topped by seated winged putti of the Seasons, the rock crystal body carved with Amphitrite and a young Neptune surrounded by sporting infant tritons and dolphins, the forked scroll handles topped with reclining  figures of Neptune and Ceres, the glass cover carved with dolphins alternating with tridents and with raised infant Bacchus finial

as noted re. cover- probably replaced, cover with chips and glue below finial, gilding rubbed, otherwise good
