A l'oeil nu, le tableau se présente dans un état de conservation satisfaisant Il est peint sur un panneau constitué d'une planche. On remarque à l'arrière une préparation à base de fibres, typique des panneaux de la fin du XVIIIe et du début XIXe siècle. Le panneau est parfaitement droit et on ne remarque aucun soulèvement de matière. Le panneau est sous un vernis encrassé et on remarque quelques craquelures, mais qui ne gênent pas la lecture de l'oeuvre. A la lampe UV, le tableau est sous un vernis vert uniforme. On remarque quelques très fines reprises dans la partie inférieure. To the naked eye the painting is in a good overall condition. It is painted on a panel made of one board. We can see on its back a preparation made of fibers typical of some panels made at the end of XVIIIth century, early XIXth century. The panel is perfectly straight and we can not see any lift of painting. The panel is under a very dirty varnish and we can see few cracks but nothing that disturb the general aspect of the painting. Under the UV light : the painting is under a green uniform varnish. We can see few very thin retouches in the lower part of the composition.
