A l'oeil nu : Le tableau apparaît dans un état de conservation moyennement satisfaisant du fait des très grandes irrégularités du vernis. On remarque un vieux vernis très mat et encrassé avec une zone de vernis blanc dans le coin inférieur droit. Ceci est très visible sur la photographie mais est parfaitement réversible si l'on change le vernis du tableau. On remarque également quelques griffures légères et superficielles sur le vernis. Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne constitué d'une planche non parquetée. La peinture est parfaitement stable et on ne remarque aucun soulèvement, mais quelques légers manques dans le coin inférieur droit. A la lampe U.V. : Vernis vert uniforme. On ne remarque pas de restauration sous la lampe. To the naked eye : The painting appears in a moderately satisfactory condition, due to the important irregularities in the varnish. We can see an old, mat and uncleaned varnish, and a white varnish in the lower right corner. This part is visible on the photograph, but can be reversed by changing the varnish. We can also observe a few slight and shallow scratches on the varnish. The painting is on a non-cradled oak panel. The painting is totally stable and we can not see any uplifts, only a few slight losses in the lower right corner. Under the U.V lamp : Green uniform varnish. We can not see any restoration under the lamp.
