A l'oeil nu, le tableau apparaît dans un état de conservation satisfaisant. Il est peint sur un cuivre parfaitement droit. On ne remarque aucun soulèvement. La matière picturale est belle et on ne remarque pas de restauration. Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un nettoyage relativement récent et correctement réalisé. A la lampe UV, on ne remarque pas de grande restauration. Juste une reprise dans la tête du lion et deux points à droite de la tête de saint Jérôme. To the naked eye, the painting is in a good overall condition.. It is painted on a perfectly straight copper. We can not see any lift of paint. The paint surface is beautiful and we don't see any restoration. The painting has been recently cleaned in a good way. Under the UV light : we cannot see any major restoration. Just two little retouches near by Jérôme and in the head of the lion.
