Antwerp School end of 16th Century, Circle of Frans Pourbus the Younger

A l'oeil nu, le tableau se présente dans un état de conservation très satisfaisant. Il est peint sur un cuivre parfaitement droit et de belle épaisseur. Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un nettoyage relativement récent et correctement réalisé. On remarque quelques très petits manques liés à des oxydations dans certaines parties brunes, notamment dans les ailes des anges. Ces manques ne gênent pas la lecture de l'oeuvre. A la lampe UV : le tableau apparaît sous un léger vernis vert. On remarque des restaurations intervenant dans la partie basse également dans la partie supérieure et certains drapés des angelots et dans la nuée de chérubins au centre. To the naked eye, the painting is in a very good overall condition. It is painted on perfectly straight and quite thick copper. It has been cleaned recently in a good way. There are some tiny lacks of painting due to oxidation of the copper in the darker areas, especially in the wings of the angels. These lacks don't disturb the general aspect of the painting. Under the UV light : the painting appears under a green light varnish. We see some restorations in the lower part in the upper part as well and in some drapery of the putti and in the Cherubini in the centre.
