Condition

To the naked eye : The painting appears in a very satisfactory condition. It is on a non-cradled oak panel. The painting is totally stable and we cannot seen any uplift. The painting is under a quite dirty varnish. We can see some cracks, particularly under the face, but the painting stays comprehensible. We notice some slight wears in the background and the hair. Under the U.V. light : Green uniform varnish. We can see a few punctual retouches in the black coat.
