Condition

The painting sits on its original canvas (which is quite thick). A certain number of craquelures are visible on the surface (visible in the catalogue), some horizontal craquelures appear with a small volume (probably corresponding to the thickness of the painting matter or to an irregularity in the canvas). One or two craquelures slightly begin to open. The matter is thin in some areas, which corresponds to the way the artist worked : by leaving some areas barely painted. Under UV light, a few small retouches are scattered on the surface, especially in the sky and on the mules. Good overall condition. The painting would benefit from a light cleaning.
