Ultra-violet light reveals signs of retouching which are relatively minor given the overall size of the painting, notably: along the left and right framing edges, areas around the head of the standing man facing the viewer which have discoloured slightly, an area to the right of the man seated on the camel, and some other scattered restorations, including to the lower right of the man second from the left, and in the sand.
The work presents well when viewed under normal light, and is ready to hang.
Presented in a narrow wooden frame.
