Condition

The painting sits on its original canvas and would benefit from a re-tensioning. A small horizontal tear in visible on the right ; and another L-shaped tear with losses is visible on the left (visible in the catalogue) ; a small chip is missing in the middle of the composition (visible in the catalogue). Small wears are visible on the borders of the canvas by the frame (visible in the catalogue) : in the un-painted areas (on the extremities of the canvas) ; the canvas would benefit from a reinforcement. The stretcher left a light mark on the canvas. The painting is very dirty. Under UV light, small repaints are visible by the missing chip in the middle ; a few scattered retouches are visible on the surface ; a repaint in the upper right.
