Description

  • Queen of Sheba
  • Oil on canvas

Condition

A la lampe UV : vernis vert épais uniforme très ancien qui ne permet pas de voir d'anciennes restaurations To the naked eye, the painting is in good overall condition. It is on its original canvas. We can see on the back of the canvas few pieces to fix some minor accidents. The biggest being in the sky in the upper left corner. The painting is under a very dirty varnish. We can see some small lift of paint in the sky and (already mentioned) and in the foot of the queen of Sheba. Under the UV light : Thick and even green varnish all over which make impossible to see if there was some restoration.
