Catalogue Note

The 1975 Collier Trophy Award, presented to Dr. John F. Clark of NASA, who, along with Daniel J. Fink of the General Electric company, represented the NASA/Industry team responsible for the Earth Resources Technology Satellite Program, known as LANDSAT, and for proving the value of U.S. space technology in the management of the Earth''s resources and environment for the benefit of all mankind.

The Collier Trophy was awarded annually "for the greatest achievement in aeronautics or astronautics in America, with respect to improving the performance, efficiency, and safety of air or space vehicles, the value of which has been thoroughly demonstrated by actual use during the preceding year."
