Condition
Not examined out of the frame. Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There is some flattening to some of the impasto tips of paint, and there may also be one or two very small flecks of loss to some of the impasto tips in places. There is some craquelure and slight lifting apparent to the pale pink pigment in the lower right quadrant. There is some light surface dirt in places, and some specks of studio detritus towards the right side of the lower horizontal edge. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in excellent overall condition, with a richly textured impasto surface.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is float mounted in a painted wooden frame, held under glass.
